NABUUR.com is run by Stichting NABUUR, a Netherlands based not-for-profit-foundation. NABUUR is independent of any government, political ideology or religious creed.


The NABUUR Foundation started on 30 October 2001. It is registered with the Chamber of Commerce Amersfoort under number 341 646 92.

On October 13 2010, the NABUUR director and supervisory board handed over their responsibilities to a new generation. With the installation of the new supervisory board and director the handover of NABUUR to the community is completed.

The board & director are part of the "governance group", a community-initiated forum that discusses the strategy and next steps for NABUUR. The other members of the governance group are:
