Help Liberia Foundation School is currently in a rented house. This building does not really meet their needs, so they have purchased a piece of land where they are planning to build a school of their own.
They would like to find an architect who can help them create detailed building plans. Ideally this would be someone who already has experience of construction in a developing country and/or of school buildings.
If you are an architect and would like to take on this task, please post here.

We would like neighbours with a background in engineering to help us renovate the bore hole in the pump, or if needed, the whole pump itself, to ensure that drinking water flows in the dry season. On-site management may be necessary.
Indiscriminate load shedding times continue to present a huge barrier to offering the planned computer courses at Fatima Jinnah Educational Complex. At the present time, the school has 10 computers on site, but many of the students who have registered to take the courses, were not able to finish the classes due to the lack of a reliable power source.

The piglets have all now been bought and the pig house almost finished. In a few months we are to have 70-80 piglets which will also mature soon. We need to find ways of disposing waste and the only healthy and enviromental way is biogas production. The biogas will be used for lighting and cooking pig food.
We have contacted Heifer international Uganda, and they have quoted us as follows.
The 12cubic metre biogas plant 2.4 ugs million ($1227.64)
Cost of a Double plate burner is 85,000 ($43.48)
Cost of lamp is 110,000 ($56.27)
A group of Worldschool students are working on developing a report featuring low cost building techniques that can be used in Cameroon so we can build a good and sustainable school building. This includes an energy system that is low cost and sustainable.
Related Questions to be answered in the report include:
1. What are low cost but sustainable building techniques that can be used in Cameroon?
2. What are the pros and cons of these building techniques?
3. What will be the costs for building the school using these techniques?
Thank you Virginia (Ginger) for donating $100 towards our village borehole project. In total we have raised £50 and $100 only of £300GBP initially sought.
Since we were not able to raise enough money to have the borehole drilled in time for the Aquaponics project, we have decided to put the money towards a borehole drilling kit that will not only help one village but others in future.
The borehole drilling kit we are interested in costs $879 from the website below.
