We have been working on research in the Masaka village on the feasibility of obtaining bicycles for students who live far from the school to improve attendance. It occurred to me after looking at several of these sites and seeing how many of these organizations provide bicycles to support health care workers, that this may be a good option right now for the community health team at the hospital.

I talked with Bramuel and he agreed, so we're posting this new task to explore whether or not we might get bicycles for the hospital to utilize until they can obtain a vehicle.

At the moment, the school gets most of its income from school fees, local fundraising and some donations from abroad. Over the longer term they would like to become less dependent on outside support, maybe one day becoming fully self-sufficient.

Within the next year, Notre Dame High School hopes to expand it's vocational training programme to offer students invaluable job skills training. Through this programme they may also be able to generate some income for the school. They have also started small-scale pig and rabbit keeping projects.
