We (5 members, most of whom studied computing related disciplines) are in the Process of registering Omega ICT as a CBO with Gulu district local government.

We have tentatively come up with a tentative business plan which I hope neighbours would help make some additions and subtractions, to come up with a substantial document.

We are open to possibilities of making some changes here and there in the initial draft, as you are aware, the whole initiative is just beginning from the scratch.

To develop a basic business plan, the following route could be adopted:

Phase A
- Identify the basic sustenance levels at which the members are self-sufficient, in terms of monetary value per head.
- Identify the income-generating activities required to reach the level of self-sustenance.
- for each income-generating activity, identify the inputs, and estimated outputs.
- execute operations to sustain this level over a time-cycle.

Phase B
- repeat all steps of Phase A for sustenance levels PLUS profits of 20% to 50%, or more, over a time cycle.

Find attached file of the step by step formulation of a thorough business plan. Kindly make additions/subtractions/comments on the draft so as to come up with a thorough business plan.

Thanks for your efforts you are putting in to Wakitaka!! Well the updated version of the business plan is attached. However, more adjustments are expected to go on as the Neighbors have commented under step1 that broilers are capital intensive and therefore we will either opt for goat rearing and native chickens. The idea is still under discussion and therefore you can check it under step1 for further details.

Otherwise this is our tentative business plan. Do not hesitate to make additions and subtractions about the business plan as the discussions go on under step1.

Do you need copies of different business plan templates? I would recommend as a first step that you meet together as a group to do some brainstorming on the SWOT analysis I posted about in the other task. I think it is really important that you work together with the youth and make them active participants in the business planning process. Each section of the plan you could work on together, and then post here for comments on what you come up with so that we could help guide you.
