Posts about Facebook
Another development this week - Sajos Academy Kiserian now has its own Facebook Fan Page. It is only a few days old and we have 6 fans so far. If you are on Facebook, please join us there too and become a fan! The more we can work together to let people know about the good work Daniel is doing the better.
You can find the fan page here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sajos-Academy-Kiserian/147360545287905
I hope to eventually add a Twitter account too, but would like to wait until the website is fully finished before doing that.
All the best-
Jennifer
Over the past week I have been working on making updates to the Nabuur Twitter account (connecting with volunteers, LR's and villages) as well as trying to track down which villages may now have a Facebook group or fan page. If you have a village or you know of a village that has a page or Twitter account, we'd love to connect and help you promote it.
Let me know! Thanks-
Jennifer
This week, Wes Downer will leave the USA for Nairobi. Wes is a documentary filmmaker and will be working with Arrow Web Hospital for the next few weeks. Wes will also be guest writing on the Arrow Web Hospital blog. We hope that Wes can help bring attention to the needs of the hospital and gather greater attention so they obtain the equipment they need to better provide for the medical needs of the people in Kayole-Soweto.

Hello Pastor Fred,
Can you clarify a bit as to what you are looking for here? Are you looking for ideas to attract more visitors to the website or are you looking for someone to review the website and see ways to improve it from a marketing point of view?
If you are looking for was to increase traffic there are a number of things you can do:
1. Start a facebook page and link this page on Nabuur, the page on facebook and your website
2. Join other social networking groups such as Twitter (Maybe Romina knows more about these options....)
I didn't even think about that. That's a great idea. For anyone who might be interested, the Facebook group is located here:

Thanks for making the changes to the posting on Facebook, so the bookmarks include the names of the villages versus all saying "Nabuur."
I was able to successfully redo the bookmarks for Kayole-Soweto and Khandbari, but Gamauli still shows as just "Nabuur." Can someone take a look at that?
Also-is there a way to route a picture to the bookmark? For example, Khandbari-it shows Tejanath's picture verus a picture of Khandbari. With Gamauli, so far there's no attached picture.
Will we also have these options available for groups?

The best thing you can do to make the most of social media is to start to educate yourself via sites like ehow.com and Youtube. Great tips on these sites. At the end of the day, you need to remember that social media is primarily 'social' so mix it up with your posts in terms of seeking support and contributing good content. This way, you are more likely to engage people.
