I like the fan pages a lot better than the group pages which really have limited options in terms of interaction and visibility. I think the weekly featured volunteer opportunity is really nice. Not too much contact, but still maintaining contact with the fans. I think that's working.

NABUUR blog

Created by Jean-Claude, a new idea to fundraise for Buterere projects (Higher University and BCDC programs):
MICRO-Saving, Credit and loan program.

This program will not ask us to have money to start up, just to start mobilising local people.

How it goes:
Engagment A:
-We meet 25 members
-They donate 6 USD (during meeting)
-They will continue to do so, for a period of 9 months

Engagment B:
-Each of these 25 people will mobilise 24 new members to donate 6 USD for 9 months

Hello everyone,
I've attached the first draft of a report drafted by Jean-Claude regarding the developments at our future higher school. We need this to be edited for spelling and grammar and tidy it up so it can be posted to our blog at Wordpress, and, once our website is created, on our website (DSNews.tv - potentially).

Please view the document, make changes, and resubmit to this task. Thanks for your help with this!

@Jennifer,
Ok.Give us the direction as time is running out fast. The sooner we understand the situation the earlier we will be able to act.

Lets keep on the good work.

Godbless All!

Pelle-

I was talking with Fred from the Kagulu village earlier and have been encouraging him to post to the Nabuur village. He is telling me each time they try, they are unable to due to a slow connection, but I suspect that this is also probably due to slow way in which the Nabuur website is responding in general. I know this was mentioned in an earlier post, but I wanted to point out that this is also especially difficult for our LR's who struggle with their connection speed anyway. I am sure that this is on top of the list to be corrected, but felt I should mention it.

You might consider doing a short survey, for example, this could be set up easily on surveymonkey.com (or a similar service would also work) and post a link on the main Nabuur page.

First steps towards a better experience

The input that was provided here, was used as a starting point for an improvement plan, which is attached. From all the messages it was clear that the system may be working technically, but the right user experience is missing. In other words: the floor is there, the music is playing...now who will open the dance?

Dear all,

Dear Raul,

Thank you so much for your positive feedback.

1. Try to make the steps that are finished invisible so it gets let's confusing

Good idea, we are working on this right now.

2. CHange the name of general tasks to something less confusing

Not sure what you mean here. What do you suggest?

3. Give the option to change between oldest and latest messages first in the workspace.

This is ask by some other neighbours too. We are working it out now.

Warm Regards, Frans

This is some feedback from neighbors by email

Dear NABUUR's,

Just wanted to drop a line to say congratulations on having the new site up an running. It has really been a great effort and the site is looking much better now.

3 quick points that could be fixed easily and improve the current functionality:

1. Try to make the steps that are finished invisible so it gets let's confusing
2. CHange the name of general tasks to something less confusing
3. Give the option to change between oldest and latest messages first in the workspace.
