Find Example Project Plans of Setting Up a School Garden

Another income-generation activity being considered by the school is establishing a school garden to support vegetable cultivation. The school grounds have a sufficient amount of land to support this and CAPEC hopes to teach the children successful farming techniques that they can then incorporate at home.
There are multiple projects working on this very thing throughout Nabuur and online. Can you help us find good examples and draw from the experience of others? If anyone has an example project plan, we would be very grateful if you would share it with us.

Hi,
There are limited options for generation of income from the gardening project, and you will need to focus only on growing seasonal vegetables, which can be sold in the local markets. These vegetables will fetch returns in the short-term.
In addition, you can also grow fruit trees around the boundary of the plot, by selecting varieties which grow well in the local climate and do not need much maintenance. These trees can fetch returns in the medium to long-term.

The goal of the Small-scale Farming Project Plan task is to make a practical and well-founded plan for a school garden that provides the most essential food for the school children. The first phase in o achieving this is to do the following research:
• Analyse which crops are suitable (regarding to nutritional values, soil, water, climate, resistance against illnesses, costs, yields etc.)
• Research the Nabuur forum, (e.g., Khaparapada), for discussions about organic farming, no digging, no tilling, no outside inputs, permanent beds, drip irrigation etc.
