I inquired with GiveMeaning staff today and they tell me that the funds for the clothes were transferred on Saturday, 2/7/09. Please check your email for additional details and keep us posted as to the progress once you're able to pay Sabina.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to offer some suggestions to help you with your fundraising project. These are some things that everyone can do to help-even if you've already cast a vote:

1. Each time you post updates about your GiveMeaning project, make sure you include the link to the fundraising page. This way people do not have to go searching for it.

2. If you have not already done so, you can add a link to the fundraising page on the Overview page of your village. In the description, clearly mark it FUNDRAISING or something like that so people can readily identify what it is.

Hopefully you've all seen the news story by now that our fundraising goal was met early Saturday morning. I have contacted support at GiveMeaning.com to find out what the next step is so that we can transfer the funds and get the remainder of the items to the students. As of today, I haven't heard back from them, but I fully expect I will hear something this week.

Thank you so much to everyone who took time to vote and donate. We couldn't have done it without you.

Warm Regards-

Jennifer

$146 to go to reach our fundraising goal!

The Gamauli/Yoshinkhel fundraising project needs only $146 more to achieve our goal of $800-will you be one of the ones who helps us meet our goal??

I wanted to share a brief update on our fundraising project. Time is quickly passing by and we still have $295 to raise to reach our fundraising goal. I still believe this is an achievable goal, but we really need your help to get the word out about what we are trying to do and why. Min and I decided this morning to establish a deadline of 1/31/09. The women in Yoshinkel still need time to craft the remaining items and taking that into consideration, the weather will also begin to get warmer as Spring nears, so we cannot afford to wait.

What can you do?

This evening, I've posted information about our proposed project and partnership to Givemeaning.com. In order for the project to "go live" and fundraising to begin, we need to first secure 100 votes. I am asking that all of our volunteers here please visit the Givemeaning.com site and cast your vote. Remember, this will help not only the students in Gamauli, but also the women of Yoshinkel and help us raise the necessary funds.
