Key Success Factors

Groups of women taking part in the Microcredit Program have begun to form in Kabondo, thanks to funds received through other tasks.
Learning from the experience of others is very important and can lead to successful projects. We would like to compile a list of Key Success Factors for operating a microcredit program. We are looking for learnings from other projects that can be tried in Kabondo.
This task requires researching other projects on Nabuur and elsewhere and finding out the key factors to success. Or, if you have experience running a project, then provide your insights here!
Hi Melissa!
I had to laugh at your last post! I do the same thing!
I think that there are multiple options for making the blankets. As you mention (and I think in another post) that old strips of fabric can be used to either crochet or weave. This is a good way to turn old unusable items to new use. There is wool and yarn and other fabrics as well. There is knitting, crocheting, weaving, sewing, etc.
I think now it is a matter of the following:
-
* deciding what skills are locally available
* what materials are readily available
Hi everyone,
Another neighbour provided the following information on biofuel as an alternative. I am posting it here for discussion. I think this one will bring about a lot of discussion as there is a bit of controversy around this, especially when farmers switch from food crops to crops for biofuel. What do people think?
