Japanese Embassy
Posts about Japanese Embassy
Happy Monday everyone! I just wanted to provide a quick update. Bramuel met with the official today from the Japanese Embassy. He was able to give a tour of the hospital and discuss everything that they've accomplished to date, as well as where they would like to be in the future. The official told Bramuel that they had visited a lot of different projects around Nairobi, but his was one of the most organized. They also extended an invitation to submit a letter of intent regarding the building project. If this goes well, they may request a full blown proposal later on, but so far so good!
Hi everyone-just wanted to give you two quick updates:
1. The visit with the Japanese Embassy went well. One of the Embassy officers plans to come to the hospital next week for a site visit and will advise more at that point.
2. Bramuel notified me today that the money from Kitchen Table Charities Trust has safely arrived in the hospital bank account, so now they will be able to move forward with purchase and installation of the new equipment.
All the best-
Jennifer

The Japanese Embassy recently contacted Bramuel by phone to inform him that they want to come out and visit the hospital again early next year. They told him that a date will be arranged and confirmed via letter. Bramuel explained that if they consider funding a project in Kenya that they will always arrange to come see the land. The person who called was a new person that Bramuel has not heard from before, so we remain really hopeful that the embassy will be able to provide the support needed to build.
Kind regards-
Jennifer
