Help Secure Mosquito Nets for 200 Children

Status: In progress
Step:

The government of Uganda is warning of the EL NINO rain due to start this mouth. The JINJA EAST VILLAGE is located along the banks of Lake Victoria. If the rain really comes as it's predicted, then our village will be in danger of malaria. We have a saying which says "Prevention is better than cure."

We have over 200 children who are in need of mosquito nets and blankets. We shall be grateful to any who may be willing to help in any way which can lead to getting that assistance.

Thank you!

Arrange shipment for malaria nets from the US to Uganda

Status: In progress

Last week one of BEHODs staff members, Mustafa, died of malaria.

This has made us aware again of the fact that many Ugandans still don't have the means to protect themselves from mosquito bites, and when they get ill don't have the money to buy medicine.

Through a US contact, Mosquito Curtains, two 40 lb boxes with nets are available to be shipped from the US to Uganda, to be divided amongst a number of NABUUR projects.

Phil Costa tried to make an arrangement with DHL, but to no avail so far. Shipment costs are estimated around $1000,-
