Bramuel researched the cost to purchase this equipment locally. Estimated costs are as follows:
X-ray machine 12,800,000 KES ($160,602.26 USD)
This one seems particularly high to me, I think possibly there was a typo in the email message, but this is based on what was in the message I received. Bramuel can you please double check this one and make sure the figure is correct?
Utrasound machine 1,127,500 KES (14,146.80 USD)
Baby incubator machine 800,000 KES (10,037.34 USD)

The last step required to achieve level-A accreditation status under NHIF is for Arrow Web Hospital to secure an X-ray machine, baby incubator and ultrasound equipment. With each level of accreditation under NHIF, the amount of money the hospital is reimbursed per card-carrying patient per month increases. This equipment will also again allow the hospital to accept referrals from other areas, also increasing the amount of reimbursement they receive.

I contacted Assist International this evening. I will let you know if/when we hear back from them. Thank you for the information!
Also, just to update, I did hear back from Aid to Hospitals Worldwide in the UK, which Alison had suggested. They do have the equipment, but we need a way to ship it.
