Prior to receiving agricultural CD's from Ken, farmers in Busukuma were cutting grass to cover the soil so that the soil did not lose moisture which created compost as it decomposed. The farmers ended up getting good yields from their crops as you will see in the photo. Ken has instructed us that by introducing cover crops we will improve the organic nature of the soil. This involves less work than the previous method and has resulted in double the yield from crops where this method has been implemented.
