Since the school is temporary I understand. DO you have a compost pile, a three way pile is most efficient. Each is filled by adding layers of green garden waste, dry waste and some manure if they have any. When the third pile is reached the first is ready to be used. I apologises as I have not read all of the other posts.

Is it possible to have a map of the school, perhaps as a WORD document? This would include the school buildings and proposed site for the garden. Do you plan to build a kitchen to cook food for the children? We could look at places to put a water tank or latrine. Could you also include the slope, where is the highest and lowest point? Also show where the sun rises, east and sets west. I need information about the wind direction. What are the health problems, malaria or malnutrition.

The children and community volunteers managed to prepare the garden and we’ve already planted suku mawiki, a local kale crop, and it is doing quiet fine. We will take photos by end of the week. We are also scheduled to plant more crops by next week, as I am to go with more seedlings on Saturday. God willing, we are hoping to plant onions, maize and tomatoes next.
