self-sustenance in food
Posts about self-sustenance in food
The primary focus must be on food security. No other activity can be successfully attempted without self-sustenance in food.
If the members have land, they must do farming till they achieve self-sustenance in food.
If the members do not have land, they must involve in activities where they can earn enough to achieve self-sustenance in food.
Farming does not need money - it needs work.
Hence farming can be started on the available land without further delay.
If own land is not available, it can be leased or rented from the owners, or farmed on a profit-sharing basis.
One step at a time.
Step 1 - focus on self-sustenance in food for all members. Nothing else can be achieved till the community members reach self-sustenance in food.
Step 2 - creation of infrastructure like school, transportation, staff housing etc will be comfortably attempted by the community only after they have achieved Step 1.

There is plenty of resource on the internet on gardening. The focus of your website could be tilted more towards educating the village on self-sustenance, and how each household can reduce their food bill by growing their own food. The dynamics of the household economics must be linked with food for the population below self-sustenance levels. There must be clear examples on what is to be grown by each household, and in what quantities, depending on the number of people in each family, their ages, their state of health etc.
