Help the Children Share Their Stories

Storytelling, writing, and drawing are important elements of learning for the children in Vadgam. We would like to see if we can come up with an easy way for children to share their stories, drawings and writing with the world and also allow them to get feedback from others proficient in the English language. We were thinking of creating a blog - in this way children could also practice keyboarding skills, spelling, and get feedback via comments. Can you help create an easy platform for the children to share their pictures, stories and writing with the world?

It's been quite a long while since you've heard from us, but I'm hoping you haven't lost your passion for writing a good story. Over the last week, I've heard from several local representatives (and a few facilitators) about things going on in their community - there's quite a few great stories waiting to be told! Last summer, storytelling really started to take off and a great group of writers joined this team to help us tell the world about all the great things going on in the villages.

Hello!
My name is Deeptha and I live in Madras, India. I used to be a Corporate Trainer till 2 months ago but am now a Storyteller. I'm part of an organization called Kathalaya (The House of Stories) that uses stories to teach different subjects in schools. We call it 'Integrated Learning through Storytelling'. Along with narrative techniques, I use puppets, picture stories, toy theatre and craft to add value to the story.
I believe that a story has the power to make a positive change in every sphere...most of all education.
