An obvious solution is to rent suitable vehicles for specific needs. You need not depend on the same vehicle to transport children as well as timber, cement, furniture etc.

For most goods, you could negotiate with the suppliers for delivery at destination, after negotiating the delivery charges. If the suppliers refuse, you will need to hire a suitable vehicle to transport the goods.

There needs to be a clear picture of the transport situation in the village before any suggestions can be made. What are the specifics? What is the condition of the roads? What is more or less the average distance the students and teachers have to travel to get to school? What kind of supplies need to be transported to school and from where?

I believe that I asked this question before, but I do not remember what your answer was. With the costs you noted for each type of school bus-were those figures in USD or GHC?

Another question-does the government provide any financial assistance to the school for transportation?

I'm sorry to hear that renting or leasing are not options in Ghana. That is too bad, but maybe there will still be another solution. We'll just have to keep trying.

Vijai has brought up excellent points to consider in relation to the school bus. The cost of upkeep, as well as whether or not it is possible to rent a vehicle. Renting may indeed be a cost-effective alternative for the time being.

Again, with most of these, transportation costs will likely be the most prohibitive factor. I still believe 100% that you will find the most success if you focus primarily on the organizations working inside Nepal already, including publishing and book distribution houses.
