Posts about twitter
Over the past week I have been working on making updates to the Nabuur Twitter account (connecting with volunteers, LR's and villages) as well as trying to track down which villages may now have a Facebook group or fan page. If you have a village or you know of a village that has a page or Twitter account, we'd love to connect and help you promote it.
Let me know! Thanks-
Jennifer
This week, Wes Downer will leave the USA for Nairobi. Wes is a documentary filmmaker and will be working with Arrow Web Hospital for the next few weeks. Wes will also be guest writing on the Arrow Web Hospital blog. We hope that Wes can help bring attention to the needs of the hospital and gather greater attention so they obtain the equipment they need to better provide for the medical needs of the people in Kayole-Soweto.

I have started a Twitter account for the project. You can see it at http://twitter.com/Kimilili. Started Wednesday and have 102 people following currently.
Also, received offers of help from a Rotary Club in Santa Clarita, CA and a water filtering company. I'll keep you posted on those contacts.
Lots of people willing to help. We need an easier way for people to donate. Checking into that too.

The best thing you can do to make the most of social media is to start to educate yourself via sites like ehow.com and Youtube. Great tips on these sites. At the end of the day, you need to remember that social media is primarily 'social' so mix it up with your posts in terms of seeking support and contributing good content. This way, you are more likely to engage people.
