Help RCMI secure SCHOLASTIC MATERIALS/SCHOOL SUPPLIES (such as books, pens, art materials, bags, uniforms, shoes, etc.) for the 200 children whom RCMI sends to different schools. This is part of our resource mobilization activities of the Jinja East neighbors at Nabuur. Without school uniforms or other needed supplies, many children simply do not report to school - RCMI wants to change that.

Jinja East has quite a big population of children who need urgent help. Child sponsorship is one way for us to obtain the financial support necessary to help them. These children range in age from 2-25 years old. Many are living with HIV/AIDS or have lost their parents to the same. Others are migrants from northern Uganda whose mothers were displaced by the 22-year war of the LRA leaving their fathers either in the hands of the LRA, or worse, dead. For those in this situation, often both mother's and children need our help. Many of these children live on the streets.

The students at the school are mostly orphaned children who have many needs. These children cannot afford to purchase school uniforms.

Goodness and Mercy Missions (GMM) is actively seeking sponsors both locally and internationally to help them obtain all that they need for a quality education, but may still lack sponsors.

Currently, there are 47 children who do not own a school uniform, 19 boys and 28 girls. A rough estimate of the cost per uniform is between 3,500 FRS ($8 USD) for girls and 4,500 FRS ($10 USD) for boys.
