Posts about volunteer

Here in Uganda it is a world of great extremes. There are countless orphans abandoned everyday all around the country; too many to count and too many to help them all , and then there are the everyday Ugandans who push their survival 30 kilometers up long impossible hills just to feed their families with the cooked banana Motoke.

Volunteer teachers: Finding and making best use of volunteers

Status: In progress

Many schools use local or international volunteer teachers.

Share resources on how schools can find suitable volunteers.

If you have worked as a volunteer teacher, was it a positive experience, what did you gain from it, and what did the school gain from it?

If you are a school that uses volunteer teachers, how did you find them, and how do you ensure that you make the most effective use of their skills?
