Posts about Water

Hi Phil,

There was no 'snapping' involved in my reply to Frank when I mentioned that I do not involve with funding or fund-raising. In an earlier reply to Frank's request for me to visit his village to solve his problem, I had also clarified that I can only help from the other end of the internet. You might appreciate Phil, that these are straight-forward professional replies from me without beating about the bush, and certainly meant to clear the air about the nature of my involvement on nabuur.

Hello Frank,

Thank you for the invite. I can only help you from the other end of the internet. You will need to contact people on the ground in your region for this problem, as suggested in my last post.

in my little homevillage

i have some ideas about how manage facilities and resources so that you economize many things in a rural community

1/for exemple to save wood and anu other energy source, recipients must be some centimeters above the flames , where heat is most strong.

A nice set of tools ranging from Water sources,Lifting and distribution,Storage and recharge, Treatment and testing and finaly the Use of water is available at The Akvopedia

That's right, Tanja. This is what makes the problem so acute. The solution to such problems cannot be achieved on a village-by-village basis. (Milk only came up in this thread above as an example where pasteurization of water was being discussed). For any meaningful impact on people, solutions of mega-proportions and at a macro-level need to mobilized.
