Creating a website is not such a big deal. What is more complicated is taking care of the opinions of just about everybody on the planet about how this website should be designed. No project gets executed under these conditions, and it will be futile even to try.

There are extremely successful models out there, with members in the millions. Orkut and Facebook are examples which accomplish all the tasks that nabuur has been aspiring for - viz the 'connect' feature, and the 'groups' feature, in addition to plenty of other features that nabuur could think of adding.

If I may add to what James has mentioned above, the village will also need someone to 'maintain' the website on a regular basis 'after' it is successfully hosted.

Nabuur needs to have a much larger population of neighbours - something like a few million as compared to maybe only about some 25,000 as at present. Nabuur also needs to have over 10,000 villages as compared to only about 250 or so as at present. A vast majority of the existing neighbours, as well as most of the villages are inactive and dormant.

I have been reading miles of threads over the recent months on the attempts being made by nabuur to make the site workable, or re-designing it, etc etc...

Perhaps simply copying the Orkut model might solve all problems. Orkut has been around for years and is a tried, tested and proven platform. It provides all the features that nabuur has been continuing to explore over the recent years. These include:

- the facility to create an account
- the facility to build several features into the account
- the facility to create groups
