Storytelling, writing, and drawing are important elements of learning for the children in Vadgam. We would like to see if we can come up with an easy way for children to share their stories, drawings and writing with the world and also allow them to get feedback from others proficient in the English language. We were thinking of creating a blog - in this way children could also practice keyboarding skills, spelling, and get feedback via comments. Can you help create an easy platform for the children to share their pictures, stories and writing with the world?

It is great to hear from you. In terms of writing/editing, at the present time there is not much written information. St. Charles Special Needs School has a website that Lotte created located here:
One of our project tasks is to work on developing a disability awareness program. For this, we will likely need assistance with both writing and editing. You will find this task listed in the Project Room of this village.

Kimsorn has identified a prospective funding opportunity via the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives in Cambodia which aims to help projects that seek to address the issue of food insecurity. There is only 1-week left before the deadline and Kimsorn would really like to get a proposal submitted from the CYDC.
For this task, we are seeking a volunteer who can provide immediate support in helping Kimsorn complete the funding proposal. Information is attached that may be useful in addressing the proposal requirements.

Hi!
My name is Jodi, and I live in Orlando, Florida in the U.S. I am a career writer and look forward to sharing the stories of NABUUR's many projects!
I enjoy traveling and have lived in many countries throughout the world. The first time I ever lived outside of the United States was when I was a Peace Corps volunteer in the Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan. It was an incredible experience as well as a very challenging one.
I am excited about working with everyone here at NABUUR and look forward to accomplishing a lot!

Can you clarify a bit as to what you are looking for here? Are you looking for ideas to attract more visitors to the website or are you looking for someone to review the website and see ways to improve it from a marketing point of view?
If you are looking for was to increase traffic there are a number of things you can do:
1. Start a facebook page and link this page on Nabuur, the page on facebook and your website
2. Join other social networking groups such as Twitter (Maybe Romina knows more about these options....)

Hi Stella and Mary,
Stella: Thanks for putting all this info together. It really starts to make much more sense and I do not feel even near as confused to how I felt before our chat. Great that you decided to populate the info on the table as it also makes it a lot easier to understand.
Apart from Mary’s questions/comments, at this stage I do not feel I have too much to add to get a better idea of what’s happening.
As we have shared with you before, we feel there is more work needed before we undertake any task related with contacting travel agencies to send volunteers.

Web Master - Help write content and keep the site updated

In order to attract potential donors, increase awareness and promote Kabondo, and allow for 'online' donation a website was developed at www.kabondopoverty.org.
We have webhosting for 2 years but now require a webmaster.
Duties include:
- Writing content for the website
- Posting updates at least monthly, but preferably every week
- Posting photos, videos and other links
- Maintaining a list of registered users that sign up on the site
- Developing new pages as the site grows
- Minimum 6 month commitment
Expertise or skills required:
- Experience in working with Joomla
