We did have a very wonderfull meeting on the 13th of September and i would like to say despite the fact that we were very few i think we made alead way to lots of things and a few of the things that we decided:

We are working on a project proposal to have a GRAND LOCAL REPRESENTATIVES workshop for three days in Nairobi. We are therefore appealling to ALL NABUUR Neighbours to send their email addresses to make sure that they do have their email adds sent to us on the site ASAP!The reason this is being done is to have a voice as Nabuur Kenya and to be able to know and let the Nabuur Staff know what is right and what is wrong and where the LRs need the help.We are also working on this project proposal to forge links with those groups that are doing like things together and those LRs that are with similar expertise to get together and know each other and to get to have a group that works together. We are also doing this to form a formidable team to be able to have a voice that speaks as one.We are doing this to also have a platform where we can be able to have NETWORKING,CAPACITY BUILDING, and sessions where we can brainstorma and do follow ups on the projects that have stalled,Suceeded and failed and those that can be made to reference as "BEST PRACTICE and REPLICATED and made better or more appealling to the community.

We are also working on and entire HIV/AIDS project proposal that we will be handing over and we will be able to have thise sent to be able to help NOT just the projects that deal with HIV/AIDS in Nairobui BUT the entire country where we do have villages. We are doing this since it makes it much more easire if the projects were actually having a single voice other then sending the project proposdal seperately. We wish to do this as a "Nabuur Consortium of Villages" that are working on a single problem with different means and methods and in different areas. We would wish that we sould be able to see to it that we get all the neighbours let us know!

Last BUT NOT least we wish that we would have a Nabuur group in different ares of the country to build up together and network so that the groups are more of a team and to be able to be proactive and be a team that meets regularly. We want to be able to exchange ideas and see how each neighbour with different expertiose would be able to help others.

We have our next meeting on the 4th Of October due to the fact that there is a public Holiday that will be very bussy so we opted to meet earlier so that those who would want to speand time with friends and family would do it freely.
Please we look forward to hearing from the neighbours and from you asd Nabuur.Thank You
Mo.

Dear Neighbours,
There are those of you who feel that "Moses is the Nairobi meet up group"i have been even accused of NOT giving information from the head office where i was told that and let me quote:
" Dear Moses,

It’s come to our attention that you are planning to set up a Kenya NABUUR office. There have been concerns brought to us by NABUUR users over the set up of this office, in particular the intention with which it’s being set up, and how it will run.

There are quite a few Local Representatives and Neighbours based in Kenya; it’s important to make sure they are all included (or at least invited to) in the talks to form a Kenyan office as they will have feedback to provide, especially when it comes to NABUUR processes. We understand communication has taken place but it’s not always open on your side. "

At this juncture i would like to mention to as members of the Nairobi meet up group.I dont make,i dont have the authority and i dont know what happens when u speak the truth.
When the Nairobi meet up group was created we had a few things that we felt that it was necessary to have:TRUST,OPENESS and a CULTURE where we meet.I hereby tender my resignation as the manager of the Nairobi meet up Group!I do hope that whoever wll ake off from where i have will be able to live upto the name!
Thank You,
Mo!

Please let all the Nairobi meet up group meet without fail.I have given u all the ample time that u do need to prepare. If there is anything that will come up please let me know before then otherwise we have alot to prepare before that date and being that we have November just around the coner i feel that it necessary that we do make the RIGHT preperarions!
Please ALL the neighbours who have NOT got to have their contacts sent out to me please do since i need to have a final list before that day. Then there is the fact that Dan please confirm again if the premises will be free so that we could be able to meet!I kno that u are on a trip around that time but lets all confirm so that there is a BIG quorum. The reason why there is alot of problems is that maybe there is a feeling that.......Ok maybe we are all Kenyans in the group...... i have been telling people that these are our local problems and they need local soluntions the fact that someone would go out there and just spoil the name of the group since there is no white person on borad is so "DUMB" and lame!Take care and hoping to meet you on the 1st!@For those of you who dont know Nanak house its on the opposite side of the Nation Center on the 5th Flor room 507 Ask for a danile Mbugua who will be glad to help you!
Thank You Mo!@

Hallow brother
leadership is always challenge.any way iam sorry for the comments that were made by one of us that may be didn't live up to your expectations. However Iam not comfortable to see that something starts and after a short while a vision bearer of good course, steps aside.Iam affected by this because not all of us had the same idea, and gathering us to sale the same good ideas was noble course of action worthy to be applauded for.At time people differ in reactions and comments but it will be of value to Nairobi group if you accommodate all of us and spear head the vision you had. I knew of it after the first meeting ,a friend informed about Nairobi nabuur group and I was encouraged to know more I have been expecting to attend the next meeting however iam challenged by this turn of events.
may prayer is that although it is painful but leadership is a price paying activity and should not have resigned.in a group of people they may not share same thinking but you would have given the majority a chance than the minority.
to me this is prayer item.
I will present it before God,otherwise have peace.amen

Dear Neighbors,
we do have a few days to prepare,I still find it quite hard that we still dont get the logic behind this group! With this little time there is still no response from anyone except the new neighbors!I have NOT got any response and therefore i leave this in your hand to decide ARE we or are we NOT having a meeting? If we dont make this a success then id rather STOP here and go on with other things! The fact that i am leaving as the group manager doesnt mean that the group has failed that should even have u to meet more and i am just a volunteer and a facilitator so please let me get your responses.I also have got the number of the phones so that it make it easier for me to be able to talk to those without access to the internet. Please have the list and your details the way i had earlier told and shown you!Thank you.

Mo and all the neighbours,

Thank you for taking the initiative to encourage us to attend this meeting. I would like to attend, and
as a new neighbour there is a lot I expect to learn. If by any chance I fail to turn up, be sure there
is a reason why and I will let you know.

I was unable to access Nabuur the past few days. I am yet to get my computer to mantain consistency in communication.

Thank you all and see you soon.

Annie.

I am NO LONGER the Nairobi group manager as i said earlier please let someone else take the lead of this meet up groups direction.I am a bit swarmed at the moment and i would NOT like it to look like i abandoned the whole thing or the members please try and make the necessary adjustments and plans to make sure that you have someone directing the meetings and the activities of this group.
I do hope that i will get info on the groups as soon as possible.Try and talk to the Nabuur admin and see if they can be able to get you a manager to facilitate for this, thank you so much.

Dear All,

Am happy that the name meetup is gaining relevance and am also happy that besides the Project Nabuur that has been echoing the Kenyan media for the past few days, the local representatives at Nabuur.Com have picked up the responsibility to represent what is best for them and their initiatives at village level. Keep the spirit up.

I will also want to congratulate Mr. Moses for this wonderful idea, i believe that you will compete with other nabuur organs that are not operating as villages. Specifically the group founded by the Institute for African Ecology and Philosophy - www.eeiu.org/chapters/nabuur

I am happy to be a member of this group and will be ready to contribute in any way i can.

Sincerely,

Ruth Kithei

May i take this chance to tell you all Happy New Year and that i do hope that we are ALL OK and have seen the New Year.
First and foremost i would like to let you know that whatever happened last year was quite unfortunate and that we need to pick up from where we left so that even though there may be a bit of problems we dont let our emotions get the BEST us and we loose focus on what we were to do.....I KNOW WE DONT HAVE A FACILITATOR but we need to get our act together and get to where we left.....
If we are too personal this year of 2009 and we dont make a clean slate and start afresh and with enthusiam and with new Strength,Ideas and move into motion then i feel that there is no way of making this to get to be what we wanted it to do and it was all in vain!
I have received numerous emails from few and many projects and personal messages telling me that they do need the help of the Nairobi meet up group and we just cant let them down......we are indebted to them to make sure that these projects do succeed.....its going to be on our hands we just cant watch them while nothing happens.....i am appealing to all the members of the Nairobi Meet up group to try and get the act together so that we may move on and get to see what we can do in 009...... we are indebted to these groups and villages please lets get together as soon as possible......

I will be talking to you soon even though i am NOT the manager please find a way of meeting.....id like to welcome all those new people to this group and id like to assure them that ALL is Ok execept for a few places that we hadnt done well in that there are a few things left withstanding......you are welcome to the group and we are and please feel par of the Nairobi meet up group family!
Please would someone take up the role of trying to make sure that we have a meeting before the end of January so that we may know what direction we are headed........and Ok we need to move on other than just give up...
Have a Happy New year.
Mo!
