There are many project definition tools out there that you can use to define your project. In this task, you'll get an introduction to best practices for outlining your project, and also learn how to post your project and tasks on your Village page.
Project: Starting a Project in your Village

Defining your Project:
There are many project definition tools out there that you can use to define your project and its tasks. Attached are two examples of methods that you can use.
Feel free to use your own, but please keep in mind that a NABUUR project should be feasible and realistic, should not focus solely on fundraising, and should be made up of concrete tasks that can be achieved by online volunteers. If you would like to brainstorm with your peers on your project, please do so here on in your respective groups.
Don't forget to review other projects on the NABUUR website; there's lots to learn from by looking at how other villages formulate their own project.
Posting your Project in your Village:
We recommend to outline your project first while offline, that way you can then log in and upload your project quickly. To post your project, please follow the instructions:
Enter the following information:
You can also upload a file document if you wish by 'attaching a file' and uploading a document from your computer. (This is optional.)
Once you have entered all the information above, please hit SUBMIT at the bottom of the page to save it. Your project is now visible in the Project Room.
Uploading Tasks to your Project
You can also upload a file document, a video or a picture here. (This is optional.)
To save your text, please hit SUBMIT at the bottom of the page. Your task will now be visible under your project in the project room.
Hi Romina .
Thanks for the information. It will make things easier for me since sometimes I do not know where to post what. But I will like a little clarification. You know I have submitted my project several times & at different ( & I suppose wrong) places.Do I now send it to the place outlined in the guidelines or is it that the guidelines are to be used for subsequent project posting?I have submitted my two stories. What next?
My Regards,
Gladys
Hi Gladys,
I'm not sure you received the email I sent you about this a few days ago - Your village is almost ready but it's missing one more story. (We're aiming for all Villages to have 3 stories.)
Once you're done writing up your story, you'll be able to submit your Village by clicking on the button 'Yes, I want to activate my village' that will appear on your registration pages.
If you have any questions, let us know.

Hi Romina,
Thanks for the feedback.I did not the email you sent, that's why I had to ask again. Now that I know i still have to send one more story.I will do that.Should it be on a particular aspect of the village? My other question on how to define and post a Nabuur project was not answered.
Gladys
Hi Gladys,
The story can be about anything in your Village that you'd like to share with Neighbours on NABUUR: cultural traditions, festivities, food, etc. Pretend that you're introducing your Village to a stranger - how would you describe it? :)
Once your Village is online (after the last story is done and you've requested for your Village to be activated) you'll be able to post your own project. The first message in these discussions explains how to upload your project and the tasks to your Village. If you have any questions on it, let us know.

Hi Romina and Gladys,
I would like firstly to thank Romina for the informations you gave us.I am sure those samples will help us in designing our action plans before posting a particular project. Also,i would like to inform you that, when i was trying to download those attachments,i found the files collapsed and they could not repaired. Therefore,i have failed to download it although i am sure, there are necessary information for each of us.I am asking for a help so that we can use them as they are very important for our start.
Thank you.

Hi Romina
Your guide could not have come in handy for me.
After i got to know about Nabuur, i was so excited that finally i had landed a forum that i always looked forward to in terms of sharing about my project.
Out of the excitement, i rushed at filling the requuired information and eventually got stuck completely.
It as not until i went back to the beginning, read through your guide that i was able to properly fill in the details.
Thank you so very much for your helpful guide.
John Keya
Hello Romina,
Thank you for those guideline, for sure i have always posted projects ,but i never see them in the project room. But as for now, i will try to follow those instructions.
Best regards,
Moses

Dear Nahashon,
Yes, I received your email. You've been added to the 'facilitator wanted' list. :) As soon as we have a facilitator-candidate interested in helping out, we'll let you know.
I'm not sure I follow the rest of the email; it seems to be a funding request? Is this part of your project?
Romina
Thank you very much for adding us to facilitator wanted list. However, i am still yet to discover more on how to post projects on my page. This is because we are experiencing difficulties during communication.Perhaps as we wait for someone, can you please take the task of recruiting volunteers on our village?.
Thank you again Romina

Hi Nahashon,
Information on how to post a project can be found in this very discussion thread; on the first message I posted. If you're having difficulties, post details of what's happening here and we (or your peers) will try to help out.
For recruiting neighbours: Again, information on the 'Invite Neighbours' feature is in the user guide.
I also mentioned in this thread that you can also use the search engine to recruit Neighbours.
Hope this helps,
Romina
