NABUUR weekly update 06/11
Strategy development
Nabuur turned 9 years old in October 2010. Looking back at the last 9 years, many events have taken place which have shaped not only the world, but our individual lives. The Internet has grown substantially and things look a lot different now than when Nabuur was born. Nabuur as an organization has also changed.
As part of the work taking place to revise Nabuur's strategic plan, we need your help.
If you have ideas about NABUUR's Mission, Vision and Principles of Unity, please share your thoughts.
Making NABUUR more attractive and easy to use
We're also starting to make small improvements that make Nabuur easier to use, highlight the best content and help new Neighbours find their way. If you want to get involved in this effort, join us here.
Other updates
Last week I mentioned that the paperwork related to the change of the board hasn't been finished yet. But we're slowly moving forward: as the registration with the Chamber of Commerce has now been changed, Siegfried is now able to hand over the accounts, which we'll do on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday Rolf and I met Bart, one of the founders of the 1%Club. As 1%Club will be building a new website in the coming year ánd are really interested in working closer together, we've agreed to keep each other updated on any developments, both community-wise and technical.
Last but not least: Frans has been in touch with the webhosting company, concerning our hosting contract for the coming year. They will look into making us a better offer for 2011 and then get back to Frans. Nothing concrete yet, but I'm hopeful they'll come up with a better deal. Keep your fingers crossed!
That's it for this week. Please do join us in our efforts to move NABUUR forward. If you have any questions or ideas, don't hesitate to mail me at pelle@nabuur.com.
