NABUUR weekly update week ending 14/11 (posted 17/11)
Dear all, here's a short (and belated) update on what happened last week:
The strategy team has started discussing the 'Principles of Unity' (or NABUUR guidelines) and the vision and mission statement. There are still a few days left to contribute your ideas during this first round. The team will then take a week writing up draft guidelines and statements, which will then be open for comments another week.
In the meantime the Support and resources team concluded that in order to make NABUUR more engaging, without having to redesign, a first priority would be to 'clean up' villages: making clear which ones are active and have concrete volunteer opportunities now and which ones are inactive or 'dormant'.
The registration at the Chamber of Commerce has also been officialy changed, so last Friday Siegfried and I went to the bank to hand over the NABUUR account.
Frans has been in touch with the hosting provider again. It turns out we're bound to stay with them until June 2011. Frans negotiated a better deal for the website hosting, saving us a few hundred euros until that time. Frans and I have discussed the possibility of writing a letter to their director, to see if they would officialy sponsor NABUUR. We'll still be looking for different hosting solutions as well.
That's all for now. I'll be back in a few days.
