Over the last several weeks, this group took a broad look at the Nabuur organization to assist with setting organizational goals. We discussed things we want to achieve, retain, eliminate and preserve.

A total of 55 points were raised among the 4 discussions - some duplicates which stressed the importance of those particular points. Each of the 55 items were then tagged and categorized. Out of this information, several broad goal areas emerged including:

1. Governance
2. Website
3. Community
4. Fundraising
5. Marketing/Promotion
6. Achievement of Results

Some of these areas overlap - for example, the website needs to maintain a sense of community. Things like better peer support, greater opportunities for networking and information sharing also can be included there. All of the feedback was summarized, organized and sent out to the governance group for review. It was also determined that your input is needed on the following tasks to help us move forward.

We would like to have your input on these tasks no later than JANUARY 31ST.

On Wednesday October 13, the NABUUR director and supervisory board handed over their responsibilities to a new generation, handing over NABUUR to the community.

The positions of Director and Supervisory Board were handed over to four volunteers from the "governance group", a community-initiated forum that discusses the strategy and next steps for NABUUR.

This governance group is now working on the following agenda:
- Develop a strategic/business plan.
- Discuss and develop the needed organisational form.
- Arrange for the selection/election of a more permanent board

At the same time we'll also start making improvements to the NABUUR site and better support for its users.
