Found things that work great?
Found things that don't work as they should?
Found things that could work even better?

Leave your suggestions here!

Hi Pelle,

Maybe I was. I was online very early in my morning (10pm for you) and late in my nights (5pm for you)

Anyway, hope you find a solution soon.

I'll sneak in my vote for version #1 - The design flows much better than the 2 column version.

And I'll take the opportunity to wish everyone here, the always chatty feedback team, a very happy weekend ;)

Thanks Pelle

I would go with number 1 too. Just one question, what happens if we start to get lots more groups than will fit - will it scroll?

The "invite a friend" feature is making me crazy. It really needs to have a drop-down with user names or something-if you go that route, then user names need to be visible on individual profiles. I have been trying to send Bramuel an invitation to the Kagulu village this morning and everything that seems like it should logically work does not.

Can someone have a look at that please? This is a useful feature for facilitators to try and recruit/add people to villages, but only if it works and/or you can find the information you need to make it work.

Groups Page: I like it. I think it looks a lot cleaner! You should do something similar for the village pages too. I like the use of color. I also think that makes a big difference.

We noticed a broken link in the welcome message. In the ol under Quick Start, number 5 (Promote Nabuur), links to nabuur.com/en/privatemsg/view/en/panel/promote-nabuur. It looks like you just missed a slash before the link in the anchor tag.

Catherine

Hi all,

Thanks... we'll stick with number 1. Glad you like it.

Mary - yes the page will scroll... until the number grows so high that it's fuzzy again. For now this will work well.

I've had two messages this morning when I was trying to make a post indicating that the website caught it as SPAM and then was asked to fill in the CAPCHA letters. Is this only set up for responding to news items, or something new?

Today, I have been trying to do some work in the Kayole-Soweto village and added a couple new tasks. I also was trying to clean things up a bit so it's easy for people to see the new tasks in the mix of what is already there. There were a bunch of wiki's listed at the bottom and I closed out the one's that were associated with closed tasks and decided to move the others up with the tasks they belong to-but there's really not a good way to do this. I am really not happy with the result. Maybe I'm just not used to it, but it doesn't seem as clean as it should be.

Is there a way to make a wiki viewable in one or more tasks associated with it, but not viewable on the main project page unless you open the associated task? I do understand that some wiki's work with more than one area of a project, but think if there was an option to attach a wiki to one or more tasks so that it's automatically viewable if you open the task, it should still accomplish what people are after maybe? Not sure, but I would really like a way to have a cleaner look so that it's easy to pick out tasks from the wikis.

Just some thoughts-

Hi- is there anyway that I can expand the number of Villages under My Nabuur profile? Right now it takes me at least 2 clicks to access the Villages that don't appear on My Nabuur page. I'd love to see all the villages I am working with on the one page.
sorry if this has been discussed before...I couldn't find a relevent thread..

CArolyn, I agree that this is a problem. The villages appear in alphabetical order, and it looks like I'd have to resign from villages I visit occasionally if I'm to have my main interests: Paidha, Cochiraya-Puno, Matopeni and NorthEastlands Nairobi on "My Nabuur". :-(

Yesterday I was showing a co-worker the success we'd had with Matopeni, and Cochiraya-Puno, but it was not a straightforward affair, what with the short Villages list on "My Nabuur", and then the process of selecting a tab to show what I wanted to show (I was in the "news" tab, and couldn't find pictures of the new school in Matopeni, or of the workers in Cochiraya).

Another difficult section of the "My Nabuur" is the "Friends Recent Posts", because my friends post a lot and often do so for villages that I'm not involved in.

Though I love to know what my friends are doing, the mere title of the the post is insufficient for me to know whether or not to open it, and this gets really bad when Romina or Mary post 10 messages in one day and simply fill up the "Friends Recent Posts" area. This is also an issue with the recent posts section.

I would suggest having the friend's (or village) name with the number of new posts next to the name (as I think the old website had it for villages) and when you click on the name of the friend (or village) it opens up into a detailed list of the unread posts for that name.

Thanks!

If a person who is not signed up as a neighbour of a village I am active in posts a message, I do not find it in My Nabuur news feed.
I have to open each and every village regularly to see if there are some new posts.

I think someone wrote about this a while ago.

Take care,
Sonja

Hi Sonja

Yes, I have just noticed a new post in Kayole-Soweto that I didn't see on My Nabuur http://www.nabuur.com/en/village/kayole-soweto/project/task/help-secure-... (From Gillian who does not appear to be a neighbour of the village)
However it is not consistent, as I am getting notifications of posts by Barry in Omiito and he does not appear to be signed up as a neighbour either http://www.nabuur.com/en/village/omiito/project/task/project-room-genera...
