Gathering feedback and ideas on facilitator options
Status:

Let's start with getting all the feedback and ideas together. Below is a first start, based on the input in the 'general feedback' thread.
Project: Feedback on the NABUUR.com beta site

Below is a list of bugs that have already been reported.
This is just a start... I will add to it when I find more:
Let me know which other things you've found that don't work properly!

YAY you added a response title! :)
Okay that's not why I'm posting...I think someone mentioned it already but didn't see it in your list of items. New messages in my villages are not showing up on the My Nabuur page as new posts. I'm finding that I'm missing them simply because it looks like there's nothing there. I have happened to see a couple when I open the village pages themselves, but not until a few days after the fact.

Hi Jennifer
I am having that problem too and reported it under the other task yesterday - http://www.nabuur.com/en/group/nabuurcom-website-development/project/tas...
From Pelle's reply it looks like a general problem.
The strange thing is that I am getting notifications of news, new projects, new tasks, and comments on news items. But not of new posts to tasks, which is the notifications you, I and everyone else really needs. I only realised I was getting those today, so didn't mention it in my original post. I only picked up on it because I spotted a new post in the section that shows posts made by people on my friends list.
I am wondering if the problem is caused by the new format posting form as it started happening around about the same time. If thats the case, I would prefer to have the old posting form back until it can be fixed, although others may not agree with me.

Hi Pelle and neighbours
Its not really a bug... but it does bug me! (OK not that funny, but its Friday night after a big week) ... but when going into 'my nabuur' and looking at all the messages, all the "never" and posts that were posted .. days and .. hours ago I find to be really annoying,as it makes no real sense given that the time zones are different. what i would find better is if this column just had the date and if possible (but not overly necessary) the time that the post was added. there are so many posts its impossible to read and prioritise them, I just find it all a bit overwhelming and you can't tell someone to look at a post on a particular date.
Thanks!
Prior to the site being migrated, I had a result in the Khandbari village for creation of a professional brochure. I looked 3x through the results page and it is no longer there. I need to access the associated task discussion because there are edits needed to the brochure and can't find it. Any ideas how I can access this again and why it is no longer showing as a result?
Jennifer
Hi Jennifer, Mary and Lynley,
Thanks for the suggestions. I've copied your messages to the general feedback thread, as they seem to fit there as well.
Re: My NABUUR and notifications of new messages:
Frans is working on the My NABUUR page as we speak. Main issue here is making the overview of new messages clearer. Next to that the placement of different functions (moving the boxes around) is important.
You'll be able to see some ideas here pretty soon!
Mary - Thanks for specifying which notifications you do and don't get! That makes it lots easier to look for what is wrong
Re: missing result
All results from the old site have been migrated (should have, at least) to the Village news, tagged as 'result'. If it's not there, then there's another bug. Ideas about how to present results better are welcome.

I started helping tag/link up the Kamwezi village today and went to update a task that had been completed. When I moved it to "Finished" it disappeared and did not show up at all in the resources. I had rated it prior as well. I ended up moving it back to "In Progress" so that it was still easily visable-but was only able to locate it on the main page under "Project Latest."
With resources in particular, I think it would be useful to actually have facilitators be able to post resources when/where needed. This way even if a finished task disappears off the list, the resource is still listed.
I now have successfully linked all 3 of my projects to Facebook-thanks for fixing Gamauli. The only issue that I can see as still problematic with it is that it is tagging the picture title right before the description. Gamauli actually had a description included, but Kayole-Soweto and Khandbari did not. Almost there!
