Project: Join the NABUUR Team

Hi Pelle
I can access the NabuurCamp group via your link, but do not have the option to Join the gruop, and cannot see it listed on the Groups page http://www.nabuur.com/en/group
The Governance group is visible and its possible to join.
Mary
Hi Mary,
Looking into it...Will post a reply as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Romina
Hi i am Inam ullah from Pakistan. I am a new comer to this site plz guide me about the working procedure.
Ullah - please let us know what you are looking to do... set up a new village? help with already existing villages? Have you looked under 'volunteer opportunities'? When you find a village that you might like to work with, there should be an 'introduce yourself here', and that's your first step. Welcome to Nabuur and happy volunteering!

Ginger :)
hello,
Bon Jour!
Glad to have joined your group. I am new to nabuur. But I am not new to online volunteering. I am an online volunteer of an organization registered at the United Nations Online Volunteering Programs. I was just wondering of where I could be of any help. I specialize on Information Technology and Engineering, Curriculum Development and pure volunteering. I am an engineering graduate and looking forward to sharing my knowledge and wisdom.

Looks like Romina fixed it already.

Thanks Romina :)
I have now been able to join the NabuurCamp group, and it is listed on the Groups page, but it is still not visible on the "New Villages and Groups section" of the My Nabuur page, although the Governance group is.
Mary

To involve lots of neighbours, who can not join us in Amsterdam, a channel #nabuur on Freenode (where the Drupal channels are too) is created to make it easy to have a chat, especially before and during the camp.
How to connect to the chat channel:
chat services (yahoo, google talk, irc). Here you can find a howto, how to link to the #nabuur channel with pidgin. Make sure you change the channel in the howto (#zetaboards) in #nabuur.
How to use the chat chat channel:
The way these channels work is that you can join/leave anytime you want. Sometimes there are a few people also online, sometimes less. Just start talking, and see if someone joins you in the conversation. If nobody is replying, just wait and see if others will pick it up later, or try it again the next day.
Of course you can make an appointment for a chat on a certain date & time. Just announce it here (and on the chat) and see who is joining.
I have this chat channel open about 24 hours/day. It doesn't mean I will respond immediately, but I can read up what is said last night in my chat window, and respond later.
Please join us now and on the nabuurcamp online on 13-14 of February!!
Copy from email:
Hi everyone,
there will be a final chat tuesday using webchat.
Time: 8pm GMT (UK), which is 9pm (Netherlands) and 7.00am for Australians...
We will use webchat- see Fran's instructions below. It's easy to use and I logged on quickly without having to download any programs.
We hope to see many of you on-line. If anyone would like to start an Agenda then feel free. We should keepo the chat to the point and cover anything hat hasn't been covered yet.
Best regards
Carolyn
