Frans is back from the Drupal conference, so our team sat together to estimate and prioritize the needed improvements and bug fixes.
The input that was provided here, was used as a starting point for an improvement plan, which is attached. From all the messages it was clear that the system may be working technically, but the right user experience is missing. In other words: the floor is there, the music is playing...now who will open the dance?
As you have noticed the NABUUR site is slow at times. For those interested, I’ve tried to write up what happens. I’ve tried to keep it as simple as possible, but can’t guarantee that it doesn’t become techie stuff at times.
A couple of measures have been taken already, most of which are pretty techie to describe… so I won’t. Frans already wrote that right now it’s mostly Google causing trouble.
As per Frans Kuipers email I am contacting Roy.I am new to website. I would like to volunteer in redesigning of website.
I agree with you Bram, the site should be simplified in a manner that a real "villageman/woman" from down here in Kenya or Africa can easily logon and access, communicate and learn with much ease.
What I meant is a way that one with no or little computer skills can be able to access their onlinevillage or any other resources offered on the nabuur site. The examples you have given are okey,I believe as we continue we would have more proposals on the changes you can put in place.
I believe the CAPTCHA is ok. As long as after inputing it the messages are sent, its just a matter of time and we get used to using it.Its Change that we need to accept.
