As part of the Storyteller Group, it would be nice to work as a team. A team of dedicated people who are eager to find the stories, to create the news, to bring out the project developments to light!

And it all starts with introducing yourself here!

Wow, what an impressive turnout of new volunteers - thank you, and welcome to NABUUR! :)

We'll be sorting out story/country distribution very shortly, and you'll then get a chance to pick out which location of projects you'd like to follow and write up on. If you have any preferences, don't hesitate to let us know by posting here.

Again, welcome and thanks for your patience. Will be back with you shortly!

Hai everyone,
It is good to be here. Iam Pastor Mary Lusambo from Kasama, Zambia. Iam 41 years old, married and a mother. I am a Local Rep for Framar Village, looking into the plight of orphans and vulnerable children. Visit my village and give us a star and advice.

I love all types of communication and so I am interested in being a story teller at Nabuur. I have studied International Business Communication and International English language. I am currently studying LLM- Employment Law in practice with Northumbria University in UK. My longstanding career is Human Resource Specialist.

I enjoy writing, reading and speaking too. I believe I may help out with the little knowledge that I have.

I am a journalist with The Times of India, and wanted to make use of my writing skills to help in reaching the voice of the projects of NABUUR. I am a typically fun loving person and have travelled globally. Though writing is my job, I also want to write for help others. Women centric issues, education and livelihood for all are my special concerns. I feel there is no dearth of resources in the world but the distribution is lopsided, which results in poverty and other health and education related problems. I want the world to be a happy place, no one should be left hungry and people must have respectable living conditions.

Hello!

My name is Ying Xian. I am a nineteen-year old from Singapore. I love writing, which is something I get plenty of as a student, but I really wanted to go beyond all the scholarly issues we study about in school. I am very excited to be involved with NABUUR, and look forward to working with everyone here!

Hello everyone!

My name is Debora Alvarez, I am 30 years old. I’m an accountant and I work in Transfer Pricing for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Caracas, Venezuela. I like to hear music that express a story and read magazines like reader’s digest or national geographic and also like to express my feeling in writing. I wanted to help NABUUR as a storyteller because despite I work everyday and don’t have time for helping others in need the way I’d like, I thought that being a storyteller would be an excellent opportunity to help others. I look forward to meeting you soon in NABUUR.

Hi everyone, I'm glad to have found such an interesting project with motivated people. My name is Andrea, I'm originally from a Texas border town a skip away from Mexico, but am currently living in Germany. I studied international business as well as social anthropology at the University of Texas, and have always thoroughly enjoyed writing.

It's really great to see Nabuur connecting people across the world in such a positive, productive way. I look forward to exploring the various villages and their projects, and helping spread the word through story telling.

Hi everyone,

Wow, great to see so many new faces around here. :)

I'm curious if any of you have had the chance to browse the site yet - perhaps you've seen a story developing somewhere that you'd like to tackle? Or maybe you're come across a volunteer you feel is making extraordinary efforts, and would like to interview them?

If you're not quite at that stage yet, no worries. We can start by assigning all new storytellers countries to monitor. I'll group countries together soon and post them here.

One more thing: this storytelling process is quite new so if you have any suggestions on how to improve it or make it more fun, easy, challenging (etc. :)), don't hesitate to post your thoughts.

Thanks everyone, looking forward to working with all of you!
