only. We do not confer degrees here. Our units in South Africa,
Nigeria and India will receive degrees from the India office once

good initiative
discussion about waterharvesting is going on in several villages, and instead of starting the discussion new in each village, we can just find all in the water group!

the forums and sites posted so far look usefull.

in our village we have a six months dry period, we want to harvest the rainwater from the roofs of 2 warehouses (500 sq meter total), store that and use that in the dry season. There are enough ideas out on the web on how to do it. what i am really interested in is to share experiences with people who have build such tanks: know the dos and donts of construction, get grip on the maintenance costs of a system. If such things are out on the web i would love to know.

If not we can start it here and i can share my experiences while we are building our system

the calculator is nice for first world users. does anybody know whether there is something similar for third world users? (long dry spells, lower water consumption, no flush toilets)

Hi Machiel,

The hope is exactly what you ask - that people from all villages will share their experiences. As you say there is lots of information on the web, but it is the sharing of knowledge and experience in actually applying the information that is the most helpful.

Does anyone have any tips on building rainwater tanks that has some advice for Machiel? If so, please share them here.

Hello Eric and people in the house, in busukuma we are going to make aworkshop fightting poverty through Agriculture in which we would like Eric to help us and demostrate how ovacados are used to fight poverty.Eric if sure you would like to join us plz confirm and while comming plz you come on with one seed of ovacado so that we also get that product, so that i can put you on the guest list dont worry about accomodation or food that will be solved by me. The workshop will be on 9th this month with atheme "fight malaria","End poverty',"Have good lives" in Namulonge busukuma, plz lets us come togather so that we can end poverty Ken has already sent us the CDs that are going to help.
