Hi Brian,
Thanks for the link to the website. Indeed it is a forum that will provide a great deal of important information on the many water, sanitation and hygiene issues that are posing challenges to communities all over the world.
I am sure others will find this source of information very useful.
Warm regards,
Lillian.

Hey Everybody,
i just started my profil.
I work mostly in Thailand in rural areas with appropriate technologies for water supply and sanitation. Mostly we implement Hydraulic Ram Pumps and stream driven Snail pumps.
For the drinking water we've done a workshop with the Canadian organization CAWST and stared to produce the filters by our own and provide the communities with it.
If somebody is interested just write me or have a look on the web www.raintree-foundation.org
Hi Roger,
I am not actually with CAWST. While they are a Canadian organization based in the city I live, I do not work for them. I have only received training from them and have materials that they offer to share with individuals and organizations. I have posted the materials in other parts of this village. To make a formal partnership with CAWST, you would have to contact them directly or have another organization sponsor you.
Barb
Hi Thomas,
Thanks for your post. It would be good if you could share your experiences in producing your own filters. What have the costs been? What have you learned? Are there any lessons you can share with others thinking of starting their own biosand filter project?
Barb
