Over the course of six months, Pellital financed six entrepreneurial women to start a variety of businesses: sewing, hairdressing, the sale of fish, vegetables, curds and female articles. At the conclusion of our pilot program, we interviewed each woman (except Maty Thioye, the vegetable vendor, who was absent due to travel), to evaluate the impact of the microfinance loan.
