The nice thing about this list is that the organizations have been verified. http://www.volunteerabroad.com/Ghana.cfm This will take some further research and making contact with the organizations to find out if they accept requests from projects seeking volunteers and if so, what are their requirements to submit a request. Some may have established sites only that they work with. If you use this option, I would be very careful to specify that you are seeking volunteers with experience working with students with disabilities and/or that you would like someone trained in the area of Special Education. I think it will be very important to clarify exactly what you are looking for in terms of volunteers on the ground to help at the school. For example: 1. How many volunteers do you want? 2. How many volunteers can you take at one time? 3. Is there a place for the volunteer to stay? 4. How long would you like the volunteer to stay? 5. What would the volunteer be doing at the school? At the moment i did write that you don't ask money to participate in the project. But volunteers need to pay for their own accomodation, food and travel.
