Help Liberia Foundation Community School is a nursery and primary school located in Buchanan, about 70 miles/113 km from the Liberian capital Monrovia.

The school was started in 2005 to provide education to children from poor backgrounds. As of September 2010 it has about 150 students aged between 3 and 15.

As well as academic subjects, the school has a typing training programme, and hopes to add sewing and other vocational skills classes in the future.

The school is currently in a rented house. This building does not really meet their needs, so they have purchased a piece of land where they are planning to build a school of their own.

Our main focus is on improving the education offered at the school, assisting with the construction project, and working towards long-term sustainability.
