Introduction to Matchbox and Candle Making

In the evening hours after crops have been attended to for the day, the local community has decided to introduce matchbox-making and candle-making as another possible means of income generation. Hello Frank,

The answer to your question is easy - imagine a whole premises blowing up and reduced to ashes just because somebody there did not follow a simple fire safety precaution, or worse still, the people around were not even aware of what the fire safety precautions are.

I will not pretend that I know all about it, and it might help if you can contact the professionals in this business in your region. In addition, you could also visit the factories manufacturing candles and safety matches, and learn from them to start with.

I do believe if you can make your matchboxes interesting you can appeal to a large collector base. There are many collector organinzations out there and they may have many collectors who would be interested in your boxes, and maybe be willing to pay more than the ordinary person who buys matches.
