Thanks for your reply,i will be glad to see it
Hello,
Before writing proposals and letters, can we find out more on what is to be done? What is the first priority of the project? Is it to acquire and distribute a certain number of nets? Is it to host awareness campaigns? Maybe if we first know what the priorities are...
Is the intention to find lump sum funding or is it possible to find ways to build up the project. Finding lump sum funding is very difficult and what happens once the funding is gone? Has the community considered looking at focusing on one priority at a time? For example, if the first priority is to get 100 children to sleep under mosquito nets, then we could look at ways, not just finding funding, to get those nets for the children. Maybe there are some local resources that could be found, such as people willing to make the nets. Yes funds would still be needed, but the amount is much smaller and may be easier to come up with.
If anything has been put together already explaining these things, can it be posted under the resources section.
Just some thoughts to get discussions moving and people contributing!
Barb

Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the long absence...
Thank you Milena for posting the proposed plan. I was wondering what the first priority is? Is it to contact organizations? This was tried with little success, but I do have a list of organizations that distribute nets. I will add it here.
One of the ideas listed was to have the families make their own nets. I have a guide on how to treat them which has very good and simple instructions with drawings. I will post as well.
Frank, would you be able to find the local cost of materials needed to produce locally? It would be good to have this information to see if this is cost-effective and feasible.
