QUESTIONS/COMMENTS
================================
Dear DHL,
Could you give us a greatly reduced rate for shipping some mosquito
netting to Uganda for an entire village that is wracked with malaria?
Please let me know what you can do... The company supplying the netting is
in Virginia... Thanks in advance... Call or email when you can...
Sincerely,
Philip Costa
Can anyone supply the information they want??? I realize there is no zip code for Uganda, but just supply the name of the village, I guess...
Sincerely,
Phil
Hi Phil,
Since the netting will be remnant pieces from the manufacturing of patio screening/curtains, the company waits until they have enough quantity to make it worthwhile to use. That means we don't have an exact weight and size yet.
Frank can provide the destination address.
My apologizes, the company Mosquito Curtains, is based in Georgia and not Virgina. But here is the address:
Mosquito Curtains, Inc.
8601 Dunwoody Place
Suite 442
Atlanta, GA 3035
Maybe we can estimate weight? What would a 2 foot by 2 foot box of netting weigh? Then we could come up with a number of boxes?? Do you think this might help to get at least the ball rolling?
As far as account number, there isn't one set up but maybe we can look at establishing one?
I hope this helps somewhat.
Barb

What is consignee billing and how does it work?
Note: The UPS Consignee Billing program is a contractual offering that applies only to United States and Puerto Rico shipment origins and destinations. UPS Consignee Billing is NOT a substitute for UPS Freight Collect.
A consignee (pronounced con-sin-EE) is a UPS customer who has agreed to pay your shipping charges. A consignee must have a UPS contract for consignee billing and you must have the consignee's approval to use this billing option.
This payment method allows you to bill the charges for a specified shipment to a consignee who has agreed to pay the charges. All shipping charges are billed to the consignee's UPS account number, except charges such as declared value for carriage, additional handling, verbal delivery confirmation, and Saturday delivery. These charges are billed to your shipper UPS account number.
To use this feature, the Bill Consignee payment method must be enabled for the consignee. Go to your UPS Address Book to confirm that the Consignee Billable checkbox has been selected for any individual or business.

www.klm.co.in
It has offices in different countries of the world.so you have to please find contact -e- mail- id ,from the contact details-(it is under "About KLM"),which is at the right side of the website. You bring the pointer of the computer there, you will find,"several sub-headings" under that.At the second sub-heading is the "Contact Information"
If you know where the donated things are coming from, call airlines to inform you, when there is space left in the aeroplane.
Though i am not sure, but as far i think, you have to first contact Dutch airlines office of your country Because contacting over phone the country ,where the things are donated,it will be too expensive for you.
Warm regards,
