Hi Frank and Phil

Sorry for the long delay in being online. I have been very busy lately and hope to have more time soon!

Just to clarify on my trip to Uganda and Kenya. Yes, Raul and I will be in Kampala and have organized a workshop. We are going as volunteers. It is primarily to provide an opportunity for individuals and projects to get together, share ideas, learn from each other, while being provided with some information on managing a project and info on water sanitation projects. We will also be showing some malaria materials to everyone, that are being worked on in a number of villages, including Busukuma (for the VIP project). The rest of my trip will be in Kenya for other work that is not specifically related to Nabuur.

I will try to contact the net producer again to see how things are progressing.

Dear Frank,

I did not contact Helen Keller International, because I could not see the relevance to our project... What is the merit in contacting them???

I sent an email to World Neighbors International, and got the following reply:

July 11, 2008

Dear Philip Costa,

Thank you for your interest in World Neighbors. We
appreciate the work your organization is doing in the area
of Busukuma, Uganda. We commend you and your staff for
your vision and for your contribution to the well-being
and future of the people you serve.

As you know, World Neighbors works in partnership with the
rural poor in hundreds of villages throughout Asia, Africa
and Latin America. By strengthening the capacity of
individuals and communities, World Neighbors’ programs
empower people to solve their own problems related to
hunger, poverty, and disease. World Neighbors is funded
through individual donor support and grants. We are not a
funding agency. Much like you, we need to raise our own
funds. Our limited program dollars are used to support
our commitments to our existing local partners, and the
implementation of our current programs around the world,
where we already have local staff and offices.

We regret that we are unable to offer financial assistance
to your cause. However, we do wish you the best of
success as you continue with your fine work.

Sincerely,

Christopher Price

Again Phil, i remember when u first came to our village ,u said we give lift to certain village which i dont remember, is it in Uganda? if it is ,i would like to tell u that we received the netting worth 32 pounds from barbs as she came for a meeting, then that the netting is still available and i said may be we arrange the next phase for two villages busukuma and that one, does that make sense?

I need your reply.
