Transport for mosquito nets arranged during Dutch Innovation Seminar
In a live demonstration of 'how NABUUR works' Siegfried Woldhek (Founder of NABUUR) and Paul Bulenzi (Local Representative of Jinja-Central) asked the audience if they could assist in arranging transport for mosquito nets from the US to Uganda.
A while ago, Facilitator Barb Briggs organised a donation of 2 boxes of nusquito nets from a company called Mosquito Curtains. The only thing left to arrange was transport to Kampala.
In today's audience there was a person who knew someone, who knew someone, which friend etc etc, owns a company in Uganda and gets transports in regularly from the US. She was called and the transport was arranged right away!
More details will follow for sure, but for now this was a great result and De Baak offered a good stage for NABUUR to show to companies what NABUUR is and how their emplyees can participate."
I do not know any more details, but looks like good news!!!

Frank, I found out you had your Independence Day celebrations the day I posted that note by looking at my Peace Corps calendar and the events for that day... I certainly agree that America went downhill, too, after the British left (don't you agree, Mary???)... Anyway, that is great news about the nets and I'm sure it's gonna happen!!! Kudos to all...
Now as regards the posters, for some reason I cannot get more than about 20 images on my computer, so I cannot send you 1200; I am proposing 100, five each of the 20 images I HAVE, for starters... Please write back and I can get that started and mailed to you RIGHT AWAY... It is a sunny day here in NY State, and it is supposed to get up to 75 F today!!! Hope to hear from you SOON!

Its good news to hear that[100 copies} now i forgot to talk about the film can u plz add it there also because i hope to stage amalaria competions in schools and once they act it that will be wonderful also.
About the nets iam happy but as you know me, i cant get so excited until they fall into my five great hands.
The posters are just superb, butits new in my ears to hear that we had independece on asimilar day with the US ,did you celerate?

Well, this morning I printed out some posters and I got 32 before my ink ran out... I will send them to you and print more, if you want them, after you receive these... I will go to the post office once the pouring rain stops... I don't know how to send you the film; it is on there and can be viewed with the right software...
Independence day in the U.S. is 7-4, not 10-9 like Uganda, but we both were colonized by the British; in our case quite a long time ago!!! Hope you're having a good day and that you write back soon... The posters came out very good as I hope you will agree!!!

Iam writting to tell u that iam okay now, flue has gone,with the help of the book "where theres no doctor" yeah! Well i know some of you,you are keen to know what happened to me exactly? unfortunately i was denied to say this but for some of you who knows,what you have to keep in mind is:believe it or not iam not so good in doing that yes!
Ok,just to give u asmall hint for those who dont know is:after all that happened i got aletter from somewhere when i read it,i just found my tears out because it remainded me some time back during those dark days when acertain epidermic invaded our village and we lost our great!great!friends, so on this point i saw my self as another epidermic trying to invade my own people,i was not feeling well that time, not until brilliant Phil came up with afabulouse idea that enabled me to count down some of the problems ,yeah! big up goes to him.
Now Phil,u aware that you made apublic anouncement that you are to fund Busukuma with 100 posters and that u have 32 ready,so when i heard that i straight went to the schools,and healthy centers and informed them about that,so these dazs the teachers are on my neck saying that they would prefer i give them posters when hollidays have not reached and the that hollidays are to take place in mid december now they would like the students to go with that knowledge...
Now i had to do that because i have never heard any false information comming from you Phil but this time, if it was just atalk let me know so that i find ways how i can tell them but if it wasnt again just give me some updates... so that i begin counting dazs.

Now some times i try to revise our conversations ,i found out that theres aterm you used its "kudos" what where u refering too, and i like to use it.
Yes! yesterday as i was moving down to fetch water on the well,i found abig monkey sharing asweet banana with one of our children, i stopped for amoment, then i proceeded with the journey ,when i reached them, the monkey ran, i wondered how this boy came to be friendly to this monkey.

Yes, I posted the 32 posters on 10-21, so check back with me on 11-21, since it took exactly one month for the CD-ROM to get there, as I'm sure you recall... If you like what you see, I will make more for you...
We have a new president in the U.S., Barack Obama, and he is half African (Kenyan)... I DID vote in the election, and I voted for HIM... I also worked the polls in my hometown, which is why I was very tired yesterday and the day before... All the people who voted, I took them home with me so I didn't sleep well... I am fine now...
"Kudos" means the same as "congratulations"... Kudos to you for recovering from your flu!!!
The boy with the monkey was a MIRACLE; now I will tell you about a miracle that happened here today... My parents and I saw a DRY RAINBOW over my parents' house in New Hartford... This means there was no rain anywhere when we saw the rainbow; there was barely a cloud in the sky!!! This happened between 4 and 5 in the afternoon... I think it means that we survived the Bush years, which started exactly 8 years ago on 11-6-00 with the election of 2000!!! Anyone who has a different explanation let me know!!! I am very happy that Obama is president now!!!
Anyway, hope you have a great day! It has been in the 60s F all this week here!!!

You a superb, i have got the posters,they a in my 5 great hands, u a trustworthy yeah! Hm!..hm! now i can smile waa! huu! Just to tell u alittle :unfortunately i didnt take aphoto bse for that moment ahad no money for me to do that and i was on pressure from those teachers, so i decided to give them immediately but i bow to do that wih the remaing 68 posters.I got them yesterday afternoon.
Well yestrday worked so hard that i got so tired, so i decided to have enough rest todays morning but as i was still resting i had voices outside, i got up to open the door, iwas suprized to see agroup of people outside saying that we are waiting for u sir the moment i opened the door imagine i had not even washed my face , i said what s wrong ?they said we are also human beings what? i replied they said we had that yesterday u served posters to busukuma but also we your neighbours we need i replied ok , so i will tell our close ,close friend by the name mighty Phil to send the remaing and see if i can give u plz, so when? i said i dont now as per now i will contact him then i will let you know plz ok we trust you good bye and me too ,this was agroup of teachers from our neighbours.But i dont know who told them about this;

Surely iam having some good times here its sunny here but i hope in the evennings to have some rains because i see the clouds moving! moving! about the degrees, here we dont have that instrument thats what i got from adoctor when i visited Kampala.

As we are still waiting for Phils package,i would request to shift to anotherthing thats Medication but before that, i wonder why neighbours are silent, when Phil is doing something for us, ok,now here is your letter mary:
Dear Mary,iam on my knees pleading to you infront of all these neighbours here, asking kindly for your support on this point of Medication to help us, by giving us alink where we can find free medicene for malaria, so that we can fully end deaths in the community, however i forgot to mark the link when i entered acertain task which you provided to acertain village this was because of those difficulties i got before. By doing that u will be saving me from this red coil iam kneeling on!!!
I have worries if neighbours are still interested in the project,look: The project is divided into 3 parts and the 2 where taken by each neighbour forexample: Mighty Barbs took Mosquito nets and fabulouse Phil took education, now what about Medication who is going to take? ok, you dare display the link and we see if we can get some one interested for that part.
Now i hope u remember. i told you that during my free time i play aguiter? yes! i nolonger have that freedom because whenever i feel like playing ,i end up seeing misery here ,i therefore suggested, i should work also on medication ,so that we move very fast on ending misery here.
