Background: Jean-Claude Kamwenubusa, Buterere, Burundi
I read all the information and found the idea attractive. At first, I contacted Nabuur only to request to volunteer in order to enhance my life skills. But I found that we can do more – both enhance skills and create projects online. So I contacted Nabuur again, and they welcomed me and responded to me with all information so Buterere can benefit from Nabuur.
Nabuur has a great role in my life. It connects me with active persons all over the world. Nabuur enhances my skills in writing, managing services, coordinating activities, building solidarity with others, and preparing for my future.
I became a great user of Internet (ICTs), which is nowadays a great tool of communication, education, evolution, management of services, finding resources for our community and sustainability.
Nabuur means for me an opportunity for eradicating poverty, promoting sustainability and eliminating social plague. It is what the Millennium Development Goals need to achieve.
If Nabuur didn't exist, my community would miss development, sustainability, health assistance services, entrepreneurships, people participation, income activities, planning for future prevision and people would continually die from HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria, malnutrition, macro and micronutrient diseases.
They would become more vulnerable because of losing hope for the future. No development program would be achieved, because children/people would not succeed in school because of hunger and disease. People would die every day.
