Buterere Community is the one luckiest commune of Bujumbura which did'nt know serious period civil war. However, it received many people from different provinces and neighbour countries. Some of them prefered to stay there.

In general, the habit of this community are poor. More of them don't have no skills,neither do have place to cultivate nor generator activities of income.Because of the largest number of the habit, more than half are disturbed by poverty, hunger and deseases due to the deficiency of micro nutriment especially relieted with Vitamin A Defficiency includ AIDS.

We want to set up a Social/ health center where these people will develop skills, learn better nutrition,raise awareness on AIDS/IST prevention, education and where pregnant mothers will be assisted and increase income, ....
