You might want to consider using the XO from www.laptop.org. A good source of information about them is http://www.olpcnews.com/

It is for lower grades. One of the problems with introducing computers into the classroom is that teachers feel threaten by them. In many schools it is rote learning and the XO lets the student mind open up and think for its self. Train teachers first so they realize the value of them. I have learned this from olpcnews. I did own one. The government may have some of them.

It seems that they focuse on elementary and primary education?, do they accept secondary and higher education?, anyhow, it sounds very interesting.

When you buy them, they can be used by anyone. I had one and sold it. They were designed for students and their learning.

Some governments have purchased them and giving them to schools. Check online about yours.
