'Hold' the project's vision in your mind's eye

Status: Finished
Step:
10

It only takes 5-15 minutes at a time.

The more of us do this exercise and the more frequently we do it, the more impact it will have.

It is also good to do it just before you start contributing to the project. It will help to keep your contribution focused on the vision and full of positive energy.

Depending on your spiritual tradition you might pray or meditate or just sit or lie in a relaxed state.

The important thing is that you focus on the project at its best - a vibrant, joyful place full of energy where people meet to grow and heal.

Don't think of the project's problems. Projects always come up against problems. That's part of their nature. But if we let ourselves be overwhelmed by the problems, we won't find the energy to actually tackle them.

In this space, therefore, focus on the huge potential of the project. On everything this project can be to all involved. On the positive impact it can have on people's lives. On the creativity and fun.

Make sure your body is in a relaxed and happy mode while you do this exercise. This way you really embody the vision.

Please feel free to share your experiences here or pose your questions.

Dear Amy,

I was visiting other Community which are working on Organising issue as we was doing with Antje and found useful information.
As we've raised 4 computers, and that till now we are not finding someone to for their shipment, I would ask you wither you can organise you so that you will bring them.

This is a link may be which can be helpful:http://www.stuffyourrucksack.com/about/

I have entered a period of upset, I have to change employment due to political decision to contract my work outside of the Civil Service. So you see, even when you build a community up there are forces who will tear things down. I am confident this will be a good thing for me, to address change directly, to take the challenge and learn and grow from it. I will keep Buterere in my "minds eye" and hold onto the dream of the community there. My energy may be much lower as it will be stressful and upsetting here. I take comfort and guidance from the model of the people such as Jean-Claude who will try to help their community through difficult times. Peace and Love ~ Ewan
