Help develop a resource mobilisation plan for Bweyogerere

Dear Neighbours,
Bweyogerere village is nearly concluding with the technical appraisal of its project implementation strategy (see attached). The strategy will be implemented in phases:
Phase 1 (a): promote seperation of organic and inorganic wastes at the source
Phase 1 (b): prevent leakage of wastes into ground water supplies
Phase 2 (a): promote a culture of recycling inorganic wastes
Phase 2 (b): promote a culture of recycling organic wastes
Phase 3: Scale-up this practice and ensure sustainability
These Phases will be implemented in over a period of 1 year as below:
1(a) will be implemented over the period of July-Sept 2009
1(b) will be implemented over the period of Oct-Dec 2009
2(a) will be implemented over the period of Jan-June 2009
2(b) will be implemented over the period of Jan-June 2009
3 will be implemented alongside all the other phases
The intervetions have to be sustained and linked for us to achieve a desired zero waste impact. Otherwise the resources invested will have been wasted.
We therefore need to map out resources for implementing the whole strategy this month!!!!!!!!! This information will be used to develop a comprehensive resource mobilisation plan which will be implemented over the July to September period.
In this task, we will look at the RESOURCE INPUT COLUN in the revised strategy and rigorously evaluate resources needed to implement a particular Phase. It would be great if we indicate where such resources could be accessed. Note that since implementation of Phase 1(a)is to start in a month's time, its resources must be identified early and be available by the end of this month.
I will initiate the task in the thread provided. Thank you very much for your support.

Dear Colleagues,
As indicated in the briefieng we will begin by identifying resources for Phase 1(a) whose implementation must start in a month's time (1st July 2009). Details of this phase are laid out on page 1 of the strategy that is attached to this assignment. From the revised strategy column, the resources needed include the following:
a) IEC materials for training youth clubs, water committees and school committees in primary waste handling at the source
b) Sports equipment to be donated to at least 10 youth clubs
c) A minimum of 30 sets of sanitation kits to be handed over to youth clubs, water committees and school committees for the waste cleaning campaign and for construction of composit pits
d) A set of musical equipment and costumes to be donated to upcoming local artistes that will prepare songs and drama to be performed during the launching of the zero waste campaign
e) Resources for launching the zero waste campaign
f) Recycling containers to be distributed at strategic locations
Please suggest potential organisations and contacts that could support us with the above resources
Thank you very much for your support

Grassroots Partenrships Enhance Sustainable Development
Dear Neighbours,
In a quest for available IEC materials on solid waste management, I downloaded this important component from the Environmental Health Book of the Hesperian Foundation that can be accessed online.
Other documents obtained include a solid waste manual for emergencies (most likely from OXFAM), and WEDC publication series.
I think these documents have lot of information that we can use to get started. Our team will use them as resource materials.
Any useful additions will be welcome.
With warm regards
