We already found many organisations that we could contact.
We just have to get the information out of the old data on this website.

I send a mail to the Turing Foundation in the Netherlands yesterday. They replied and asked to give them some more information about our project.

I will do this as soon as possible and keep you up to date.

Now Heather made herself (and us ofcourse too!) responsible for this task I added the wiki document out of the old site into this wiki document.

I does not look really nice, but its a start!

I will contact the Turing Foundation this week.

The turing foundation send a reply that they will review our request but that it can take some time.

Hello Everyone,

I wasn't sure where to put this info, so I thought here might be the best place. I have found a directory of NGOs, grant givers, government orgs, private orgs, mircrofinace orgs, etc., that are currenlty working in Zambia. The directory is 28 pages long and has contact information for all the organizations, many with email and websites. There should be at least a few that may be worth contacting. I haven't had much of a chance to go through the list.

I think it is time we should contact the organisations we found so far (see shared work document).

I think it would be best to divide all the organisations between us.

Who has time to write (e-mail) some organisations in the next 2 weeks?
Please let me know how much you think you can write! If you have only time for 1 organisations that would be great, no problem at all.

Plse on my search i came a cross one of the major organisation that take major interest in education ie building schools.Plse let us all have alook at it and contact .This is www.freethechildren.com. Primarily i so strongly feel we fit in to their funding guidlines because their main area of interest in education and building schools.Hope one of us will contact it for more information.

Hope all is well..
I'll help out with the foundations on the document.
We received a nice donation from one of the Churches which is a good start. I'll continue with the churches here and see what I can find out about the foundations on our list.

That is just wonderfull news.
Innocent will be so happy when he gets back from his leave in a few days.

What will you do with the money, will you transfer it now, or later when you receive more?
Can I ask how much we got, then Roger could put it on the website in our countdown.
Which church donated or do they not want to be mentioned on a website?

I will write a newsletter to everybody when I get your answers!

I hope I will have some time in the weekend to contact 1 or 2 organisations, but thats difficult to say at the moment.

I contacted Free the children (found by Innocent) and Oprah today (see shared work document).

Who can help me contacting the organisations we found so far?

I/we might not be able to be online during the next month. We are expecting our 2nd baby around the 10 the of August. Our daughter was 1 month pre-mature so it could happen any minute now. Please continue the good work when we are not online and hopefully we will be surprised by all the things that happend when we were not online.
