I think we should use 1 of the pictures on this site, from the children playing for our website.
The websites goal is to build a school for the kids so the kids should be on the website.

I agree with you that we can also make some pictures from the bricks etc.
I think we also need a photo from the land the school will be build on.

I have a few comments:

donations: we only need money and from this money we will buy bricks atc. It will be difficult and expensive to find bricks in europe and send them to Zambia. In Zambia we can buy bricks from the money we get from funds.

So please just leave the text
We need donors for building a school
and delete the rest.

and maybe you can put this above the picture of the school

will you list the organisations that already gave us funds there?
If so, then we better only put this online if we found funds, now it looks so empty because we do not have any funds yet. It might disattract possible funders

Innocent, do you have a bank account where money could be transferd to? If so please give us the information (you could do this with a personal message if you like). Please also find out the IBAN and BIC numbers because foreign funders will need these numbers to be able to transfer money.

The Website is really coming along-- great work guys!

Monique and Stefan, as far as banking details go, I'm a little uncertain as to how to proceed. I'm not sure if we should be a using a personal account to collect donations. I know Innocent, you are trustworthy and would never do anything to the donations, yet as a possible donator I would be very relunctant to donate if it was to a personal account.

Have we investigated the possibility of registering as a charity? Several other villages on Nabuur have undertaken this task and have found it helpful. Grant programs will only donate if it is an established charity. With this charity status we would have to open a bank account and account for all our finances.

I'm not sure of the process to achieve charity status in Zambia-- is this something we should look into?

I agree with you that a charity will be more thrustworthy for possible donors. I did not think about that one.

Hello all,
Yes, it is true that the monies donated cannot be deposited into a personal account ,this is not ideal.We shall open a project account which will accommodate all the monies for it is peoples money.I agree with you all for a charity to bear all this as it was already planned .This would have been done soon as we find funders however, thank you for early consideration.I will look around on how to go about that here in zambia.I really believe that no matter how much trustworth one is it is not recommended to hold funds in apersonal account.Let all work cooperativley to have possible infromation prior to this development and will sound proffessional and ideal.

I personally like the circular logo as main logo for our website.

If your friend can and wants to design other logos for our website, to make it more beautifull and to guide visitors through it, that would be great. Say thank you from us to him.

I don't think we should mention Innocents telephone number because you never know who calls. If a possible donor want to speak someone in person, they can contact on of us by mail first.

Hello everyone!

First off- if we are looking to collect a large amount of money (which it seems we are) we need to register ourselves as a NGO or charity in Zambia. I'm not 100% sure how to do this but tomorrow I'll take a look around and see if we can figure it out.--- one of the best ways other then the internet to research this is to ask other nabuur villages in Zambia how they have done this. It includes forming a group of interested citizens, filling out paper work and opening a bank account in the charities name. Only once we have a charity number will people feel comfortable making large donations. (In my opinion at least) for example- no matter how professional the website looks or how the great cause is-- i would be very weary about making any large contribution.

So I really think we need to consider charity status. Innocent do you have any information on how groups go about receiving this status in Zambia?

As far as contact information goes-- i think it would be best to open a new e-mail addres with the charities name-- I will send you a free g-mail account and you can set it up as the chiboyla school protect's name?

I'm going to go over the website tomorrow and start on the text-- Eduardo is this ok with you if i fix up the English a little bit? I don't mean to offend you in any way as I know you have worked very hard on this and it looks wonderful!
